The Master System

Ethan created a brand new analog format, with a one of a kind camera
and processor to make it possible. He invited me all the way to Albequerque, New Mexico, to try it out for myself.

What is the Master System?

The master system has 3 components: the format itself, the camera and the processor.  All 3 of these creations allow you to shoot up to 106 4x5 format photographs, in one camera back.

1A. The Studio Camera

Ethan made a  4x5 TLR capable of shooting his crazy new format, handheld in the studio. It uses a large format graflex lens. It uses a 4x5 roll paper back, mountable on any 4x5 graflok compatible camera.

1B. The Street “Nat Edition” Camera

Ethan noticed the TLR was a bit to big for me, so he made a more compact version for me to use on the streets. It also uses a large format graflex lens and the same back.

2. The Format

The format uses 4in wide rolls of darkroom paper, loaded into a cassette for cameras and processors.

It can shoot up to 106 paper negatives or positives on a roll.

3. The Processor

This processor is configurable to C-41, B&W for film and paper, E6, RA4 and RA4 reversal, and more!
